Quick Website Setup, domain DNS transfer, etc.
Domain name registrations and transfers normally take 24-72 hours
from the time you apply for your new account. Once your domain name
is activated or transferred, you will be able to use yourname.com.
Before that you can acces your space this way: 67.15.102.8/username
How do I TRANSFER MY DOMAIN?
First you need to go to the website where you have
your domain name registered.
If you don't have a domain name yet, we recommend you register one
with www.godaddy.com
because they are the cheapest and very good.
Then you need to log in to your account and look
for a button or link that says "DNS or Name Servers, or Manage/Point
Name servers.
When you have found the appropriate page to change
the name servers, put in these names:
NS3.TERABITE.COM
NS4.TERABITE.COM
Intitial file (home page file name):
The filename of your home page should be called:
index.htm or index.html. That way you don't need to
put a file name behind your domain name and your home page will
automatically open up when someone types in your domain name. However,
you must try them both, for each account may be set up differently.,
however, one of the two is sure to work. Your intitial remote directory
where you upload the files to is: /public_html
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Settings, uploading
files to the server:
ftp host: ftp.yourdomain.com
user name: first 8 letters of your domain name or the one we gave
you.
password: your password.
Intitial remote directory: /public_html
